Frequently Asked Questions
Tap Create Session on the home screen. You'll get a shareable invite link — send it to anyone you want to play with. Once everyone has joined the lobby, tap Start Game to deal boards and begin.
Open the invite link the organizer shared with you. The app will open directly to the lobby. If you don't have the app yet, you'll be taken to the App Store first.
You can also tap Join Session on the home screen and enter the invite code manually.
Bingo is validated using confirmed squares only — squares the organizer has approved. If you think you have a bingo but the game hasn't ended, check whether all the squares in your line have been confirmed (they'll appear with a solid fill rather than a highlight).
Ask the organizer to review any pending marks in their confirmation queue.
The organizer is the person who created the session. They're responsible for confirming or rejecting phrase marks as they come in — this keeps the game honest. When a player marks a square, it shows up in the organizer's queue. The organizer taps to confirm or deny it.
The organizer can also start new games and kick players from the session.
Spectator Bingo is built to work with spotty gym and field Wi-Fi. Your actions save locally and sync when a connection is available. If things seem frozen, check your signal and give it a moment to catch up.
If you're still stuck after your connection returns, close and reopen the app — your board state is preserved.
After a game ends, the organizer can tap Play Again from the winner or summary screen. This starts a fresh game with new randomized boards for everyone already in the session — no need to reshare the invite link.
Tap your name in the lobby or on your board to edit it. Your name is stored on your device and carries across sessions.
Yes. Tap the ⋯ menu during a game and choose Leave Game. Your board is paused but not deleted. Open the original invite link to rejoin the same session whenever you're ready.
No. Your device is your identity — no sign-up, no email, no password required. Just open the app and play.
